What Is Remote Construct?
Remote Construct is a platform where you control real machines through your browser to dig and build on a real patch of land, together with a community of people who like to make things. Unlike a game engine, what you can build isn't limited by a developer's ruleset. You're working with real dirt and real physics, so the only limit is what's actually possible in the world.
How It Works
Step 1: Join the Queue
When a machine is in use, you'll be placed in a queue. You can watch the live feed while you wait for your turn.
Step 2: Take Control
When it's your turn you'll get a live video feed and keyboard controls to operate the machine directly from your browser. No download or special hardware needed.
Step 3: Build Something
Dig, move dirt, and shape the land. What you do is up to you. The land is shared so what you leave behind is there for everyone to see.
Step 4: Leave Your Mark
When your session ends the next person in the queue takes over. What you built stays. Come back anytime to see how the land has changed.
What Are the Machines?
Right now Remote Construct runs a small RC excavator on a real patch of land with a live camera feed on it. It's a small machine but it's real, and so is what you build with it. More machines are planned for the future.
Who Is This For?
Remote Construct is for anyone who likes to build things and operate machines. It was built with gamers in mind, especially people who play factory and building games and want to take that satisfaction into the real world.
